1986 was a big year for many reasons.
The Mir space station was launched by the Russians in a step forward for the science community but they also had a little accident in Chernobyl that year – a slight step back for the world. Oprah Winfrey hit the TV screens in her own show as did the furry alien Alf, while Top Gun and Crocodile Dundee hit the big screens. The Olsen twins were born as was Lindsay Lohan. On the radio you were bopping to Venus by Bananarama and Addicted to Love from Robert Palmer. Closer to home, Bob Hawke was our PM, Sir Joh was trying to be PM of Queensland. Red Faces and Neighbours hit the small screen.
But most important to us, Fred and Helen Marano took on Sloanebuilt Trailers in 1986 and proceeded to grow the business to where it sits today, at the forefront of innovative trailer design and manufacturing.
The next 30 years saw an unprecedented growth in the business owing to forward thinking, innovation, outstanding customer relationships and the support of our loyal customers.
Recently announced, Sloanebuilt is again expanding into new, purpose built facilities that will continue to provide employment and revenue for the area along with the production and engineering design capacity to shake the industry up.
Thank you to the Marano’s for growing Sloanebuilt into what it is today, and congratulations for exceeding expectations across the city, state and country.
Here’s cheers for the next 30 years of success!
